NIGERIA vs SCOTLAND: Incoherent set-up but still enough pointers + My likely 23.


The Super Eagles of Nigeria battled the Tartan Armies of Scotland to a stand still on Wednesday in the team’s first test game ahead of the 20th Mundial.
Expectedly, with the 30-man provisional list to be cut to 23 before the next friendly match against Greece on Tuesday, Coach Stephen Keshi flooded his starting lineup with fringe players that have a whole lot to prove as to whether they merit a place in the final 23-man party or not. One positive from the starting lineup is that, as against numerous stories of injuries that have inundated the Nigerian press since the provisional team list was released, we saw virtually all the fringe players in action.
