During the weekend, a host of Nigerians plying their trade abroad shone for their clubs.

We captured some of them.


Kenneth Omeruo, Emem Eduok – Kasimpasa

Four Nigerian internationals were in action when Osmanlispor visited Kasimpasa.

Aminu Umar – who won his first international caps during Samson Siasia’s second spell as Nigeria manager- as well as Raheem Lawal, featured for the hosts.

Osmalispor won 3-0, with Umar amongst the scorers.

Kenneth Omeruo started and completed the game but his team-mate, Emem Eduok, came on in the second-half.


William Troost-Ekong, Mikel Agu – Bursaspor

Nigeria international defender, William Troost-Ekong scored his second goal of the season in Bursaspor‘s 3-1 loss at Kayserispor on saturday.

His international team-mate , Mikel Agu, also featured for Bursaspor.

Both players were on the pitch from start to finish, while the third Nigerian in the Green Crocodiles team, Paschal Okoli, was an unused substitute.

Ogenyi Onazi -Trabzonspor

Nigeria intertional Ogenyi Onazi started for Trabzonspor in their 2-2 draw at second-placed Besiktas in a Super Lig game on Sunday.

The former Lazio man was substituted on 69 minutes.

Patrick Friday Eze, Imoh Ezekiel – Konyaspor | Azubuike Okechukwu – Yeni Malatyaspor

Patrick Friday provided the opener as Konyaspor shared the spoils with Yeni Malatyaspor, who featured former Nigeria U23 captain, Azubuike Okechukwu.

Friday started the game for Konyaspor. His compatriot, Imoh Ezekiel, was on the Konyaspor bench.
