Club friendlies: Plateau United, Nasarawa United settle for draw

With the resumption dates of the Nigeria Professional Football League and Nigeria National League set to be announced next week, a number of clubs continued preparations for the remainder of the season with friendly games.

Abia Warriors beat New Generation Football Academy 2-1, with Nwuju Stanley and Ndifreke Effiong scoring for the Umuahia side while Smith Sampson netted New Generation’s goal.

Plateau United and Nasarawa United shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller.

On Saturday, Kwara United will be up against Kogi United at the Kwara Stadium, starting from 8 a.m.

Meanwhile, Saturday’s friendly between NPFL table-toppers Lobi Stars and NNL side Aklosendi FC, slated to hold at the Lafia City Stadium, has been postponed.
