Nigerian players abroad: Udoh nets first goal of the season

Nigerian striker, Etop Udoh scored late on to salvage a point for Lori FC in a 1-1 draw with Shirak in the Armenian Premier League on Sunday.

The 18-year-old netted on 85 minutes — his first goal since moving to the Vanadzorian club in July — to cancel Moussa Diakite’s first-half strike.

His compatriots — Ekemini Ukoebe, Deou Dosa, Ugochukwu Iwu, and Isah Aliyu, who featured in Lori’s opening day 2-0 home loss to Ararat-Armenia — were rested by coach Armen Adamyan in the matchday two game at the Gyumri Stadium.

In the Croatia’s top flight, Ezekiel Henty, 25, took his league tally to three goals in three matches after scoring Osijek’s first in the 3-0 home win over Istra 1961 on matchday three of the Croatia 1.HNL on Sunday, at the Stadion Gradski Vrt.

The win placed Coach Zekic’s men at the top of the 1. HNL table.

Abdulrahman Taiwo‘s late first-half strike earned Nitra FC an away point against Slovan Bratislava in matchday four tie of the 2018-19 Slovakia Super Liga on Sunday.

It was pacy winger’s first goal for his new club.
