Nigerian players abroad: Eduok opens season’s account, Ighalo rescues Changchun

Nigeria international Emem Eduok netted his first Süper Lïg goal of season in Kasimpasa’s matchday three 3-0 win at Sivasspor on Sunday.

The 24-year old striker, who has featured in all of Kasimpasa’s league games this season, was replaced by Ösgur Çek on 69 minutes.

Odion Ighalo scored a late equaliser for Changchun Yatai in a 2-2 draw with Hebei in the Chinese Super League, taking his league tally to 16 for the season.

The former Watford and Udinese forward latched onto a long pass before slotting home to save his side’s blushes.

Moments later, he was denied by a stunning save from Cheng Yang.

In Serbia, Eze Okeuhie’s 47th minute goal – his second of the season – against Proleter Novi Sad, sealed the win for Vojvodina in a Serbia Super Liga matchday six fixture on Friday, August 24 at the Stadion Karađorđe, Novi Sad.

Former Enugu Rangers forward, Marshall Odah, 26, was on target for Egypt Premier League club, ENPPI on Friday as they won 1-2 away at Al Mowkaloon in a matchday four tie.

Babajide Akintola, 22, took his tally to six in 20 Norway Elitesserien games after netting FK Haugesunds first goal in the 2-0 home win over Staebak on Sunday.

Akintola was in action for the whole duration of the match while his compatriot, Anthony Ikedi, sat out on the game.

Ogude Ifeanyi came off the bench in the 71st minute to score his first Danish Superliga goal as his club, Vendssysel lost 2-1 at home to Brøndby in matchday seven tie on Sunday.
