Watford striker Isaac Success has been recalled to the Nigeria squad for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying doubleheader against Libya.
The 22-year-old has not featured for the Super Eagles since a 1-1 draw against Senegal in an international friendly on March 23, 2017, which was his debut.
Winger Moses Simon, who missed the World Cup in Russia due to injury, is also included in the list released by Gernot Rohr on Monday.
Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong, Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi and on-loan Torino defender Ola Aina return to the team as well — after missing last month’s 3-0 win at Seychelles.
Bordeaux’s Samuel Kalu, who made his debut in the game against Seychelles, looks to continue as the team’s playmaker after earning a call-up. But Rohr has left out Simeon Nwankwo and Kelechi Nwankwo.
Team captain Mikel Obi — despite being match-fit — is also not included in the list, adding fuel to rumours of his impending retirement.
Nigeria welcome Libya’s Mediterranean Knights in Uyo on October 13 and three days later, play the return leg at the Sade Maïeb Mhiri, Sfax, Tunisia.
