Alex Iwobi came off the bench to score his second goal of the season, as Arsenal returned to winning ways with a convincing win over Burnley.
Unai Emery’s side bounced back from back-to-back defeats to secure a 3-1 win against Burnley.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored either side of half- time to give the Gunners a 2-0 lead. Ashley Barnes made the most of nervy defending from the hosts to pull one back, but substitute Alex Iwobi scored late on to restore Arsenal’s two-goal advantage and seal the win.
Iwobi finished off a counterattack. The 22-year-old picked up the ball after Burnley lost possession during an attack, raced just past the centre line before playing a short pass to Mesut Özil.
The German wriggled his way around a couple of challenges, before seeing his weak shot blocked. But Iwobi, who had raced into the Burnley box expecting a pass, lashed the loose ball past Joe Hart to score his first goal since the 3-2 loss at Chelsea on August 18.
