Henry Onyekuru’s second-half goals against Sivasspor helped Galatasaray record their first win in five Süper Lïg matches on Sunday.
The Yellow-reds saw off Hakan Beles’ men 4-2 to move level on points with second-placed Trabzonspor and within six points of leaders Basaksehir.
The first half finished 2-2, with former Real Madrid star Robinho scoring twice for Sivasspor.
Six minutes after the break, Onyekuru raced behind a defender to turn in a through ball for his first goal since November 10. The assistant referee had raised the flag for offside, but after consulting with the video assistant referee, the centre referee allowed the goal to stand.
The Nigerian then made the points safe when he slotted home from close range, taking his league tally to six for the season.
