Nigeria striker, Sadiq Umar has joined Italian Serie B club AC Perugia from AS Roma on a loan deal – his fifth spell since making his senior debut against Genoa in November 2015.
Umar will star for the Alessandro Nesta tutored side – currently placed 9th on the 19-team log with 26 points after 18 matches – till the end of the 2018-19 season.
The 21-year old forward scored five goals in 12 Eredivisie games during his six month loan at NAC Breda in the second half of the 2017-18 season.
His performance prompted Scottish premiership club, Rangers to sign him for the first half of the 2018-19 season, but the Kaduna-born striker fired blanks in just four games under Manager, Steven Gerard.
Umar, whose four goals helped Nigeria under-23 team won a bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, spent the 2016-17 and first half of 2017-18 seasons at Bologna and Torino, respectively.
The Abuja Football College product, has two goals in six appearances for his parent club, AS Roma since joining from La Spezia in the Summer of 2013.
