Aminu Umar scored the only goal as Rizespor stunned hosts Kasimpasa to record their second Süper Lïg win of the season on Monday.
The 23-year-old winger fired a first-time shot into the roof of the net after receiving a pass from Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi, for his fifth goal of the season.
With the offside flag up, it looked like the goal would be chalked off. After a VAR review, however, the goal stood.
Rizespor — who stay rooted to the bottom of the 18-team Süper Lïg table with just 15 points from 18 games — will be hoping the win will spark a turnaround, as they try to avoid relegation.
Umar, former Wikki Tourists winger, paved way for Aatif Chahechouhe in the 78th minute.
Umar’s compatriot, Emem Eduok missed the game through suspension.
