Victor Moses has revealed his delight at playing in front of the Fenerbahçe fans in the 3-2 win against Yeni Malatyaspor at Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium.
The Nigerian, who signed for the Istanbul club from Chelsea on Friday, made his first appearance in a Fenerbahçe shirt in Monday’s Süper Lïg game, as Mehmet Ekici’s brace and a late strike from Mehmet Topal handed Ersun Yanal’s side all three points.
The victory against the third-placed team has lifted the club two points clear of the drop zone.
Commenting on his debut, Moses said: “I’ve heard a lot about Fenerbahçe fans, but it was really amazing to see them with my own eyes.”
Booked in the 90th minute for a foul, the 28-year-old will be hoping his displays in the win would earn him a starting role in Friday’s fixture with Goztepe.
