Oghenekaro Etebo made his seventh straight 90-minute outing for Stoke City, as The Potters played out a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
After his initial struggles, the Nigeria international has adapted to life in England. In Stoke’s last 10 outings, the 23-year-old has failed to play the full 90-minutes only once.
Etebo, who joined the club at the start of the season after a loan spell at Spanish club Las Palmas, was one of Stokes’ top performers in the Championship fixture, with Stokesentinel’s Martin Spinks giving the former Warri Wolves player an 8/10 rating.
“Intelligent play with and without the ball as he remained a consistent and welcome midfield presence,” Spinks said of the midfielder’s performance.
Stoke City wasted a number of chances before taking the lead through James McClean just before half-time, but inability to deal with a second-half stoppage-time cornerkick allowed Will Keane to head in the equaliser, denying the visitors all three points.
Keane’s late goal extended The Potters’ winless streak to five games. Nathan Jones’ side have not won a game since claiming a 2-1 victory over Leeds United on January 19.
Ipwich — who are rooted to the bottom of the English Championship table — have a slightly worse record. The Tractor Boys last won a league match on January 1.
